Idina Menzel has revealed everything is "cool'' between her and John Travolta.
The Pulp Fiction actor famously pronounced the Broadway star's name wrong when he introduced her performance of Let It Go at the Academy Awards ceremony on March 2.
The actor triggered a storm of online mockery - including an app to "Travoltify" your own name - after mispronouncing the star's name as he introduced her performance of the Oscar-winning song Let it Go from Disney hit Frozen.
John, 60, referred to Idina as "Adele Dazeem'', but the 42-year-old has now revealed the stars are now "buddies''.
"He was really gracious and sent this gorgeous email, and we're buddies and it's all cool,'' she told Billboard, before adding that the Grease star also sent her flowers.
"Please. I mean, I've only benefited from it!'' she laughed.
Menzel was at the Oscars to perform Let It Gofrom Disney film Frozen, which went on to win the trophy for Best Original Song.
Menzel, who has won a Tony Award for her star performance in the hit musical Wicked, admitted to being "very Zen'' before she took to the stage.
"I had all of these visuals set for myself, the meditations,'' she recalled.
''[But the Travolta gaff] threw me for a minute,'' she laughed. "But then I just got back on track and reminded myself of where I was, and what a beautiful moment it was.''
Menzel has made a triumphant return to Broadway, where she originally started out in the lead role in Rent back in 1996.
She is now starring in the stage musical If/Then, an original story of two people leading parallel lives.
Variety reports the show raked in more than $US900,000 ($A997,616.80) in its first week of previews
