French musician Hélène Grimaud is a charismatic  character – not only is she a highly accomplished, innovative pianist but she also experiences synaesthesia, where one physical sense adds another – in her case, she sees music as colour.
Her North American tour will take her first to the Gerald R Ford Amphitheater, where she will play Brahms’ Piano Concerto No 1 in D Minor, Opus 15 accompanied by the Philadelphia Orchestra. Next up will be Denver, Kalamazoo and Baltimore.
